Welcome to my
website, I hope that you find the information here useful.
I am based in Finchley,
North London, N3, have been professionally trained in one to one counselling
with adults and am an accredited member
of the British Association of Counsellors and
Psychotherapists.
The BACP is
the main professional body in the UK which regulates the counselling profession.
It is particularly important that if you
are considering counselling that you should go to a counsellor who is properly
qualified and trained.
Many people have
problems. Anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or the trials of life
may prompt people to come to counselling.
Some people may come because of
a major event in their life such as a bereavement, others may come because of a
general sense of unhappiness or a feeling of being unfulfilled.
Being able to talk to a non-judgemental counsellor in a safe environment can be
a very
therapeutic experience allowing difficulties to be faced and resolved.
Therapy may be helpful
to you if you feel you are unable to resolve your problems on your own.
Why do people come for
therapy?
People come to
counselling for all sorts of reasons but, typically, they will include
How might therapy help
me? Being able to talk about
difficult and painful issues helps to examine and resolve the causes of distress. It is often only
by looking closer at ourselves and the experiences that have formed our lives that we are able to understand our motivations
and develop new patterns of behaviour.
